I took a much needed vacation to the Cayman Islands about a month ago, and just now got around to checking out some of the pics that we took while we were there. It looks like a lot of them didn’t turn out very well due to our sub-amateur (is that even a word?) camera skills.
Hurricane Ernesto made it “interesting” for us to say the least, but we still had a great time. The Caymanians have a very relaxed and easy-going way of doing things as you’d imagine, something I definitely wish I could emulate. If you’re not sure where Grand Cayman Island is, don’t feel bad because I didn’t either until this trip.

From the official Cayman Islands website: “Nestled in the calm, turquoise waters of the western Caribbean, lies the peaceful British Overseas Territory known as the Cayman Islands. Consisting of three islands just 480 miles south of Miami, Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman remain our little piece of paradise. Blessed with sun-kissed beaches and waters teeming with fish flecked with gold, the Cayman Islands offers some of the best diving and snorkeling in the world.” It’s all true.
Our condo on Seven Mile Beach (notice the boards on the windows):

My favorite part, the extremely secluded beach right behind our condo:

Lizards that allowed us to get closer than the lizards here in Arizona do:

Taking a break from the usual 12 hour workdays felt so good that I’m already making plans to go back for another week, possibly in December of this year.
