I’ll be attending the SEOmoz training seminar on October 1st, and I’m actually making a vacation out of the trip. After sightseeing in Seattle we’re heading up to Canada. I’ve been to Victoria, BC twice and will be making my third trip there a few days after the seminar.
For anyone involved in search marketing, I highly recommend attending this particular seminar for several important reasons listed below in no particular order:
- It’s a great way to meet the folks behind the blog that we all love so much
- Since it’s their first one, it’s only $399 (this WILL go up for future seminars)
- The topics covered range from Keyword Research to Blogging to Analytics (all good stuff)
- You can ask specific questions and receive detailed responses during the Q&A for each module
- The party afterwards will be a memorable one (or not depending on your alcohol consumption)
I’m mainly attending for Social Media training and ideas on how to enhance the marketing training that I offer to clients. Staying current is a must in this industry, so I attend training sessions with peers regularly. I trained with the We Build Pages team back in 2004 (which at the time consisted of Jim Boykin, Todd Malicoat, Justilien Gaspard, and Sean Stahlman), and got invited back in January of ‘06 for Link Ninja classes. Even if you feel you’re an “expert”, don’t be too proud to attend seminars like this.
If you pick up one solid, actionable tip from training that puts more money in your pocket, it’s worth it.
